Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 29, 2026
This policy explains how Kazuki Iwanaga (azamas.dev, “the developer”) handles information in the iOS / watchOS app “Simple Memo Notes” (“the app”) and on the website that sells security codes for the app (magicmemo.azamas.dev, “the website”).
- Notes and handwriting
- Notes and handwriting you create in the app are stored only on your device and are never sent to the developer’s servers or any cloud service. Transfers between Apple Watch and iPhone use Apple’s WatchConnectivity and take place only between your own devices.
- Information the app sends
- To verify your security code, the app sends the following information to the developer’s server, where it is stored:
- Your security code
- A device ID (an identifier the app creates for each device; the advertising identifier is not used)
- An Apple Account (iCloud) identifier: the app-specific user ID obtained from iCloud (CloudKit), converted into a form that cannot be reversed (SHA-256). Your Apple Account email address, name and iCloud data are not accessed
- Device type and app version
- Information collected on the website
- When you purchase a security code, your email address is collected through our payment provider, Stripe. It is used to send your security code and to respond to your inquiries. Credit card details are processed by Stripe; the developer never receives or stores them.
- How we use information
- Information is used only for the following purposes:
- Verifying security codes and managing the devices they can be used on (use on devices with the same Apple Account, transfer when you change devices)
- Preventing misuse, such as sharing security codes
- Sending security codes and handling inquiries and refunds
- Storage and service providers
- Information is stored and processed by the following services the developer uses. These services may process information outside Japan.
- Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore): storing security codes and the identifiers above
- Vercel: operating the verification server and the website
- Stripe: processing payments
- Xserver: sending security codes by email
- Sharing with third parties
- Except where required by law, information is never provided or sold to third parties. The app does not use any advertising, analytics or tracking tools.
- Retention and deletion
- Information is kept while your security code is valid. To request deletion, contact contact@azamas.dev. Once deleted, the security code can no longer be used.
- Children
- The app does not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
- Changes to this policy
- Any changes to this policy will be posted on this page.
